UPDATE ON ALL THE LATEST WORKS FROM THE
BUDD STUDIO
STORY IN STONE - BIGGLESWADE, POTTON AND SANDY MOSAIC TRAIL
The mosaics are coming on apace with Carolyn Blake's workshops proving a great success in Bedfordshire and our work here at the studio creating sections to match-in to the finished works. We have our first roll-out later this month with panels for all three towns. These are the first of three phases up to Spring 2018 and completion of the Mosaic Trail.
Below are half of the first panel for Potton and part of the first panel for Biggleswade (Sandy's first panel can be viewed on previous blogs)
WESTERHAM TOWN COUNCIL MEDALLION
Back in the 1970's my father, Kenneth Budd, designed and produced a medallion for the chairman of Westerham Parish Council (my Kentish birth town!!) in the interim years the Council has become a "Town" Council and I have just returned a revised medallion to reflect that change. This just requires some extra embellishments from a jeweller before it can be presented to the Chairman.
Meanwhile, near Westerham in......HURST GREEN, SURREY
We had a wonderful afternoon celebrating the unveiling of the Creative Community Mosaic on the front of the local Community Hall. This 4 metre long work has been created by the Creative Community group and is part of an ongoing series of works including tidying up the environs and creating other artworks to enhance the area.

WORK HAS BEGUN ON A PORTRAIT OF Sgt. REGINALD INCLEDON
This is the third portrait panel I have made for a client who is celebrating his past relatives on buildings he owns in the wonderful Clifton area of Bristol. This photograph shows its current production stage, background is being applied as we speak. The full design can be seen to the right of the mosaic portrait.
Another panel for Seasalt!.......
HORSHAM SEASALT SHOP PANEL INSTALLED!!!
Our latest Seasalt panel was installed mid-April in Horsham Surrey. Next one due this coming week for the Mumbles in Wales!
Finally.........
LAST SUNDAY WE INSTALLED THE MORGAN CAR PANEL
In Reece Mews off High Street Kensington. We had our high scaffolding and my son Tom and his old friend Mike, both young and agile, thankfully, as it was a bit of a sweat hauling a 2 X 1.5m mosaic panel up almost 20 feet to affix to the wall. Thankfully the weather was kind and the job went well. A very satisfactory commission and looked great, especially from certain angles where the iridescent mosaic did it's very sparkly thing!!.. I love this job!
