On Monday a very rare Champion car turned up in Potton

Here it is depicted in the Potton map

The Potton map was unveiled by local schoolchildren (From Potton Federation School) who had worked on the mosaic, Alistair Burt MP and George Howe (Chairman of Potton History Society) as the stationmaster!!

These mosaics are the conclusion of a long project creating local landmarks in the three Bedfordshire towns.

This has involved hundreds of local people from historical societies, workshop participants, council officers and Budd Mosaics but the whole scheme was initiated by Carolyn Blake, the creator of Story In Stone (www.storyinstone.org.uk), who conceived and initiated the project, ran all the community workshops and who has been the driving force that has resulted in such a successful outcome, before on-time and in budget!!
